Blooming Dreams

Springs are flying by as I see her bloom
I watch her grow and don’t want to let go
After spring comes summer
Full of joy, light and blooming kisses
I am high as she holds my hand
I am low as she let it go
Long summer days diving in the blue room
Dreaming of places where she wants to go
I watch her grow and I don’t want to let her go
With fall comes the longing for wishing stars
And the shorter days by the burning fire
And I watch her grow
As the light changes so changes her dreams
The wishes are deeper but not less swift
The glow on her face telling me to let her go
Like a cocoon waiting to break away
Unwearyingly weaving the colors on its wings
And then winter comes
Long hours by the table
Candles burning as her face glow
More light
More dash
She has all figured out
But as her head rests on my shoulder
Confiding her day and her dreams
I know there will be more summers
Before I let her go
Before I let her grow
